Resumption of debate on Address in Reply  Madam Speaker, I wish I could answer my colleague's question. The Liberal government has refused to tell us what it means when it refers to military-style assault weapons. It is a very ambiguous term and it is creating a lot of unease in people across Canada, from sport shooters to people that rely on these firearms to provide for their families.

Resumption of debate on Address in Reply  Madam Speaker, there is no debate that the carbon tax has hit northwestern Ontario and my riding of Kenora particularly hard. The cost of living has increased all across the region. Fort Severn is a community where the cost of everything has inflated even more drastically. We are going to continue to fight for a more affordable life for all Canadians.

However, what I do know is that the government's plan to restrict forestry access even further is going to make it much more difficult for the forestry workers in the industry in my region.

I take the opportunity to thank the people of the Kenora riding for placing their trust in me to serve. Questions on the Order Paper  With regard to the government’s plan for dealing with the mercury poisoning issues at the Grassy Narrows First Nation: (a) what are the government’s specific plans for the Grassy Narrows First Nation; (b) when will the promised medical treatment facility in Grassy Narrows be completed; and (c) what specific amount has been allocated for the medical treatment facility in (i) 2020, (ii) 2021, (iii) 2022, (iv) 2023?

Questions on the Order Paper  With regard to the Canadian Small Modular Reactor Roadmap and the note on the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission's website that “The Government of Canada is reviewing its recommendations and plans to develop an action plan in the near future“: will the government be releasing the plan by the end of 2020, and, if not, what is the timeline for releasing the plan?

House debate  Madam Speaker, many constituents in my riding have been concerned with the throne speech making absolutely no reference to rural broadband connectivity. Internet is becoming increasingly more and more essential for participation in modern life and residents in rural and remote areas of our country are disadvantaged because of poor Internet connectivity.

Indigenous Affairs  Mr. Speaker, the people of Grassy Narrows First Nation in my riding of Kenora have been suffering with the effects of mercury contamination for decades. In 2017, the government promised a treatment centre to support the community. It is now nearly 2020 and we have still seen no action.
